In Short: It is definitely a place I hope to come back to and I hope to have the opportunity to try new things from their menu.
After spending a long time away from Bogota, I decided to meet up with two of my childhood friends in order to catch up with them. As many of you know my favorite plan is having dinner at a restaurant, so this time we decided to go to a place called –Bistro Mordida.
-“Mordida”- is a restaurant located in the neighborhood Quinta Camacho (Bogotá). It’s name indicates eating in small bites, and what better than ordering food you can share? Their menu attempts to highlight the flavors found in different regions of Colombia, using modern and innovative techniques. The place has a friendly atmosphere, and is perfect to have a few drinks.
That day we had the opportunity to order several dishes such as the arracacha cause and grilled octopus served with chimichurri of olives and yellow pepper mayonnaise; the Oxtail Taquitos which come with pico de gallo, guacamole and four peppers sauce. I could easily say these two were my favorite dishes.
Additionally, we ordered the temaki spicy tuna and shrimp confit which is served in a crispy cone with “tobiko” (flying fish caviar), olive guacamole and natural herbs. And to close off in the best of way, we had to have dessert. We decided on the chocolate “tumaco” cake with banana ice cream, which was very sweet, juicy like Nutella spread.
It is definitely a place I hope to come back to and I hope to have the opportunity to try new things from their menu.
